About the band


Blam Honey started in 1995, when Ryonai, who happened to be in another band at this time (support for Soft Ballet? I'm not sure of this..), came across Tatsuya, a vocalist from a local band with the name ViRTUE PSYCHO MARE, who together shared the same musical visions and decided to withdraw from their current bands, and thus 'industrial gender unit' Blam Honey was spawned.

Blam Honey went on to broadcast their sound through live shows, but were eager to start work on an album, and so Ryonai hired Takeshi Fujita (of the band DOOM) as a producer and in 1998, Blam Honey announced their first album, 'Grandiose Delusion' and maxi single 'Artificial Delusion'.

In 1999, Blam Honey dropped their indies status and announced the release of their new album, 'Typical Ingeniousness -suggest-' on the major Japanese record label, Nippon Crown.

Following the release of their first major album, Blam Honey had a string successful lives, it was at these shows Blam Honey distributed a limited edition CD 'THE OTHER SIDE OF ELECTRONIC BRAIN', which only 1000 copies were made (and on each CD, a different 'serial number' was issued, to see which number of the CD was bought).

In October 2000, after 5 years together as a unit, Ryonai and Tatsuya disband as Blam Honey, choosing to go on their own separate paths.
